He abandons abstraction and fully addresses a plastic formulation, a symbiosis of realism, expressionism and surrealism, in which the thematic contents play a fundamental role, initiating his so-called "black stage".
He exhibits the new works in individual exhibitions, in the Studio 52 Gallery in Córdoba, Madrid and Valencia, as well as in various collectives.
With other colleagues, he develops a socio-cultural activity with exhibitions in the neighborhoods of Córdoba and the province.

It tries to free itself from all of the above and enters a stage where the work builds it with white fabrics from old sheets or white rags folded and glued; working like hes embalming something. The dominant tone is the natural of the fabric and plays the essential with color.
He exhibits the first works of this stage in the collective organized by the new Manuela Vilches gallery in Marbella.
He obtains the first Prize at the X Biennial of Marbella.
In 1991 he begins to number his works. He exhibited in 1993 in the hall of the Unicaja cultural work in Malaga.
